MY LIFE, MY DEATH, MY CHOICE

Thank you for visiting my site.  My objective with this piece is to inform you as to why it is so important for every state to have a Death with Dignity Law. Please read below and watch the Brittany Maynard video.  For more information please click on the blog button above. Everyone deserves the right to have the choice to end their suffering.

DEATH WITH DIGNITY

Dignity can be taken from a person.  Dying can become undignified when an individual is denied the ability to act, to decide and to express the values through which others consider them to be dignified.  EUTHANASIA: A Greek word meaning: A good or happy death: fast and painless and of one's choosing. A positive act.

BRITTANY MAYNARD

The Face of the Death with Dignity Movement

Brittany Maynard changed the face of what terminally ill looked like.  Rather than face the pain and suffering that her illness would bring her and her family she died on her terms.  Brittany advocated for Death with Dignity laws up until she died, and asked her family to continue her crusade after her death.  Two years after her death, California adopted the Death with Dignity Law.

"Death is not the greatest loss in life.  The greatest loss is what dies inside of us while we live."
